Goliath Cranes

Sometimes known as Portal cranes, our single or double beam Goliath cranes are available with single or twin cantilevers if required. We can manufacture Goliath cranes up to 150 Tonnes SWL, with spans in excess of 40 metres. Goliath cranes are ideal for outdoor applications, where lifting facilities are provided without the additional cost of a new building or any supporting steelwork. Goliath cranes are also suited to indoor applications where the existing building structures are not adequate to take overhead cranes, or where any additional free standing steelwork is not possible or would result in a loss of floor area.

Typical applications for a Goliath crane include steel stock yards, assembly and loading areas, ship building and the concrete industry. We design and manufacture cranes to suit all applications, whatever type of crane system you require, we can provide it. Our design team can offer an engineering solution to most lifting problems, and with our own dedicated Site Service team that are available 24/7 to ensure your lifting equipment is well maintained and operational at all times, you can relax in the knowledge that your equipment is fit for the job.

Any Goliath cranes supplied by TLS to sites within the UK are covered by hoist testing and certification to comply with current LOLER legislation.
